What mouse sensitivity do you have in the options menu? (50 - 200?)
Do you have bad frame rate?
Both using 1920X1080
I set my mouse to a bit low sensetivity( both default at 100)
Framerate seems good. Sadly 100s of frames per second does not equal smooth gameplay with so many variables involved
This happens when we play Multiplayer, but with solo it works good
In more detail:
For mouse movement we originally went with "The crosshair moves when the camera moves".
The problems with this were:
- The camera is smoothed heavily and this smoothing makes it hard to predict where your crosshair will be, especially when you would make a jump shot. It just felt like the crosshair was not snappy enough.
- In local co-op (shared screen) the camera is not only following yourself but also the other player. In our testing if you would aim close to yourself and your partner made the camera move, the crosshair would move to behind you and you would suddenly shoot the entire wrong side, which felt bad.
This caused us to try a second approach. The camera would move when your character moves. This felt better in single player as it felt like the mouse was much more decisive in how it would move.
For local co-op, our experience was mixed. There was an element that it was more reliable in knowing where you would aim but on the other hand it felt that initially our brain would think that the crosshair is following the camera.
With this knowledge, is it possible to give it another try and see if you like it more now that you know how it works and how you can predict how it will move?
If you still are not satisfied with the way the mouse work, we can add an option in the menu to allow you to pick the original setup with "the crosshair moves when the camera moves". Or if someone has another great suggestion then we are willing to listen to it.
That would be a good thing to have options to work with because ther are so many things that can go wrong with a pc game and it is almost impossible to guess how or if a issue will occur
There are hundreds of different pc configurations and having options to try can benefit others in time
