EXP reduction mods?

So I love this game but I feel like I overlevel everything quick. I made it a point to do as little optional stuff possible just to keep the main story challenging but would love an overall exp nerf. Any mods out there that accomplish this?

That doesn't help much if your level is too high.

OP, none as far as I know, you're just going to have to limit not only the optional stuff, but what you fight in the mandatory stuff. I basically went in fighting only about half the enemies in the story areas, unless I had to fight everything for story reasons.

I was just about to make a post asking if leveling was made easier in this remake / rerelease.


I remember having a really hard time in vol. 1 when I first played it, back in like 2010 or 2011. I specifically remember getting stuck at some part where you fight Uhh. . . That PKer lady. Bourdeaux or something along those lines.

I haven't progressed the story since I went on that mission with Gaspard and uhh, shaggy. whatever his name is. I've played about 4 or 5 hours of just solo grinding random area's, and am already level 32. I definitely chose normal mode, not cheat mode when I first started the game. . . feels a bit too easy.

They did make you get more experience, the proof is in the tutorial with Asta and Iyoten. Back on the PS2, it was impossible to level up in that tutorial. Now you do level up.

Not sure if you are still looking for it, but I've found the way to change the EXP % - unfortunately not the dmg scaling, so with this you can lower your exp gain and go for higher level areas
