Of course you can also consider that the Doppelganger weapons are fairly powerful (they're the best weapons in volume 2) and will make an already easy game even easier, so there is also that to consider. They're fun though, and honestly killing enemies in one hit isn't THAT much easier than killing them in two hits otherwise.
Agreed, they F****d with the game balance.
The PS2 version was just right in difficulty and Exp gain, but Recode, just normal is a cake walk.
