What happens when you cheat in extra greeting cards...
... and then proceed to send them all to everyone.

So I was curious and did basically what the title said. I got down to the last two batches ("Just Between Us" and "Love Letter")

After sending out a bunch of "Just Between Us" and replying to some, I got weird replies

What else is interesting is when I go into the greeting cards, this is what shows now.

When I cheated in the cards, I only made it so that they were 22, the max number for the number of party members.

Now, while I'm not 100% sure that this is the case, I do have a pretty good idea of what is going on. Overflow.

Basically, my Inbox is so full (630~) it is causing an increased value to roll into where it's not supposed to be. This results greeting cards I no longer had showing up, and in some cases in glitched numbers.

So, why am I sharing this? Partly because it amused me and thought of sharing. Also as a warning to those who have this idea as well.

You may wonder why would there need to be a warning. It's just extra cards right? Incorrect, there are two major issues that this can cause.

First, if you didn't do this after post-everything on Vol 3, you run into the potential problem of causing story event mail from glitching out. I also do not know how this affects vol 4, but suffice to say, probably best to ere on the safe side on this.

Secondly, this could very well lead to save game corruption. Data being shifted like this due to overflow can cause quite potential problems. Hence why after this I completely closed down the game without saving. Last thing you want is to spend so long getting everything only for it to go poof. And you may had though Haseo getting data drained at the start was bad, until you have to redo that as well.

I guess I can also add a third note: This is also another piece of evidence of why you should use multiple saves. In the original releases I basically used up all the save slots. And when I started Last Recode I was keeping to a single save. Then something in Vol 2 happened. Had a moment when something just wouldn't spawn. And if I hadn't backed up my save earlier that morning, I would had been screwed.

So yeah. Moral of the story: Multiple Save slots FTW.

Now if you excuse me, I'm gonna go restore an old save, probably the oldest one in this greeting card mayhem. Gonna read through the repsonces on the "Just Between Us", reload the save, and then finally get down to the fun one.. The Love Letter. So looking forward to Piros the 3rd's.
