Hopefully Voice actors are altered/improved.

Mainly just the horribly done fat dog thing. He was dreadful.

Yeah... basing my opinion solely by sound, I'm not a fan of Dave Wittenberg's higher-pitched deliveries. Wasn't a fan of it when he did it for Persona 4's Teddie, either. However, it did fit the character.

That aside, I guess it'd depend on whether or not they completely redo the audio and script like they did when Bandai Namco brought over God Eater Resurrection (when they already had an existing dub from God Eater Burst). If they do, they might have to recast some people. Dave Wittenberg hasn't been doing much work in anime and anime-based video game properties since 2015, so it's up in the air whether or not they bring him back.

The one major difference for people who played the game in North America before is that now you'll have the choice of going Japanese audio with subtitles for a different experience and a better Gaspard.

How they handle the voice actors in volume 4, though... It's hard to sort out who they got to come back and who they didn't. I guess we'll find out!

Since a lot of VA’s are or were part of the SAG strike, it’s going to be hard to figure out if they managed to get people to reprise their roles. Add to the fact if the publisher was willing to pay what the VA was asking for. I’ve been to a few cons and a lot of VA’s who normally went to them weren’t showing up for that reason. I know that idea factory couldn’t get their mainline publisher to get some of the Neptunia US VA’s back due to the strike.

The English va for GU was alright. But it felt forced. Some good VA is persona 5’s(which is also a great game as well). Though I did prefer the JP audio myself.

JP audio for GU does sound interesting. Makes me wonder how Alkaid sounded.

When I started playing GU back then, I bought all three games at once.
But the eng voice acting was so bad in comparison to jp (yt ftw), that I got myself a modded rom with NA game and JP voices shortly after.
I'm really happy that we now can choose which one to use, legally.

I was annoyed by him too, but it would be seriously be a mistake to replace him at this point. He kinda suited the role, I just hated his character. If you replace him, you risk pissing off everyone.

Can't really blame the voice actor. The character himself was incredibly annoying. He wasn't much tolerable in Japanese either.

When I was re-watching Roots, I was kind of surprised by the voice actor differences... Kuhn's voice actor in the games is way better than in the series, but Silabus and Gaspard seem much more appropriate?

Not really. Rational human beings are aware of voice actors being replaced if a show/game is remade many many years later. and HOW old is the original?

Gaspard shoulda just never existed in the first place. I GUESS he was supposed to be comic relief...? But I can't say that, even as a teen (back then) I never found him that funny. I moreso just wanted the parts he appeared in to just end.

Well, in Roots Gaspard and Silabus gave Kuhn a backstory that was kind of nice. Made up for Kuhn being such a womanizer, sort of. It wasn't quite as awesome when they were basically tutorial mode in G.U. lol

In PS2 times played it on japanese, and when I youtubed it and seen what voices were on US/EU - I was shocked

The english VA's never really bothered me, but you could tell that they re-cast a lot of the major characters.

I don't think that's a thing that normally happens... best guess would be audio quality upgrade. However if they annoy you that much play in JPN and treat the whole game like an interactive anime :)
