Controls completely backwards with PS4 controller.
So I have an interesting issue here I can't seem to solve. With a PS4 controller plugged in the game does not recognize the correct inputs despite everything else on my PC being configured to recognize it as an xbox controller.

In summary,
O = A
X = B
Square = Y
Triangle = X

This makes the games menus extremely difficult to navigate, and makes opening trapped chest a bit of a mind game. Has anyone figured out how to remap the controls? None of my Controller emulators seem to work with this title.

I can do the right controls by muscle memory, but when it comes to trap chests? I'm absolutely screwed. When it comes to the later dungeons that have doors with trap locks, I have no idea how I'll get through...

I noticed that with the natvie drivers but using SCP makes it think its an xbox controller and all is well. Kind of a shame but need scp for other games anyways. all well

Same issue, still haven't figured out a way to fix it. Steam's DS4 support doesn't seem to work at all, but then using the gamepad with native drivers instead has backwards controls.

For everyone who has been wondering about this. It can be fixed by running steam in big picture mode and switching steam controller mode to the PS4. This allowed my PS4 controller to hook directly through steam and all setting are changeable. While it is regretabble these steps needed to be taken in the first place steam luckily has the features to fix this in client.

Wait a minute... PS4 controllers can be used for the PC? I thought they were allergic to Windows (not counting Ps1/Ps2 joystick adapters for PC, people)

i'm using ds4windows for my ps4 controller and it's working fine though.
and yeah, ps4 controllers can be used on pc. you just need to plug it in or connect it with a bluetooth device. some games even recognize ps4 controllers natively, like... all i can think of is hollow knight.

so there is a work around for this but it's a little wierd. You have to be in big picture mode on steam. Then click the game icon in steam and go into the options/configurations. There is a controler options where you can edit which kind of controler you are using and customize the inputs.
FOR PS4 controlers when you switch to this setting your x square triange circle buttons will work as normally but you will need to edit the directionals as they are blank as default

no need for big picture to configure controls, the only time you have to use big picture is to enable PS4 Controller Support under Controller Settings, after that you just have to connect your PS4 Controller and right click on your Steam Game, option for configuring controller comes up with which you can map your ps4 controller for standard xinput so it works with any xinput game.

1 Way to get it to work: map it to keyboard controls.

Use "joystick" for the analog sticks.

For example, "accept" or "X" on the PS4 controller maps to the left mouse button. "O" to the right mouse button. I have a controller configuration uploaded on Steam.

I basically had to go through every button on the keyboard, figuring out what it did, then mapped it to the controller. Basically the "controller" is hitting the keyboard buttons which works perfectly so far, requires no extra drivers/setup.
