Configuring DS4 controller

So playing on the DS4, the confirm/cancel buttons are reversed and D-Pad isn't read. I tried using controller configurations online, but when I select for PS4 Configuration Support the game no longer reads my controller at all. Any help in this?

I use SCP and havent had any issues.. other then it thinks its a PS4 controller. The new DS4 pretty much have to install the driver to wireless controler #0 (not 3)

Do you know how to show DS4 pad in game instead of x-box? It hard to clear the trap box since it is not DS4 pad show.

edit: i treid the remoteplay drivers for native ps4 and still shows up xbox icons anyways

I am using my own fork of DS4Windows to play .hack with a PS4 controller. Much less input lag and more mapping features compared to the old version.

If you go into big picture mode you can add a community controller profile that makes the dpad work

How the hell do you even get this game to work with a controller? It flat out refuses to acknoledge that I have a controller. Do I have to go and grab my PS3 controller and put it into my computer? I can do that, but it seems silly the game won't recognize a gamepad that's designed for PS2 PC related game play.
Sure, my controller isn't exactly fancy, being a cheap logiteck, but still.

Xinput is silly, so easiest way to get non-xbox controllers work is to get userland driver that emulates your controller as xbox controller.

I do have Ds3 control, but...
Because that Ds3 control makes my PS3 controller work for Kingdom of Alamur: Reckoning.

@davidb11 Try this https://www.x360ce.com/ DS4Windows is designed only for dualshock controllers, but this may work for your generic controller. What you want to accomplish anyways, is to emulate Xbox controller, since Xinput powered games assume Xbox controller and work badly with others.

Well, some good news, Plugging in my PS3 controller to my computer makes the game recognize it per se, but it refuses to let me change the controller layout, which is still nonsensical.

the pad's binding seem to be accurate to the base Ps2 game version now, though.
So I can play.
