So... Japanese or English voices? Which do you prefer?

The English VAs are what I grew up playing with... and Silabus in JP just sounds so weird.

I'm still giving the JP version a shot anyway. Atoli sounds way less annoying there. I'm legitimately missing Ovan's English voice though.

Anyway, the English voices actually seem to inject more character to me (though the JP version overall sounds more professional). Thoughts, guys?

If you are not sure just try both and run the one you prefer tbh.

Ahaha, IYOTEN and Asta's English voices were so horrible at the beginning I switched to JP just for 'em. But most of the other character's English voices are really good though. Atm just really thrown off by Bordeaux, considering the English voice is really mature. The JP voice is rather adolescent.

Came to the forums just to see if this included the Japanese dialogue, as the English voice acting in the preview vid was enough to make me never want to look at this again - was horrendous to be honest...

Ahaha, the preview vid picked the worst moments to showcase the English VA. Some of the VAs are outright horrible, I'll have to agree.

On the other hand, the some big names in the English anime VA market worked on this, and they really don't disappoint. The main characters for the most part sound fine in-game.

Played the game back on PS2 with English VA, I'll probably replay it now with English as well. Nothing better than the cringe of "COME ON! I'M RIGHT HERE!"

I like the japanese more. Haseo and Endrance for instance have a really good VA in both japanese and english, but some people in the cast make me cringe more in english than in japanese, so I'll stick with japanese

It's good they're both there so that those that find one or the other unpleasent can choose. Me, I'll take JP voice acting over American anyday.

I generally prefer ♥♥♥ voices, but i hate reading subtitles while amazing things are happening on screen. Someday might learn Japanese but until then english voice.

Back in the day I played the english version and loved it. Now I'm playing with english dub cuz for the Feels and cuz I got used to it. But I Intend to replay it with the ♥♥♥ sub. Win- win.

The Japanese voices are so much better in this game imo. To the point that even back when these games were new I ended up buying them and waiting until the UNDUBs were available to download and play on my HDLoadet PS2
