*ahem* diablo references aside, really just try it with both and see which you prefer. I don't remember the dubbed version being too bad but the last time I played it was about 9 years ago so it may just be bad memory.

English dubbing is actually really good in this. Usually go with subtitles - not for this, though.

I absolutely love the dub. Steve Blum, Johnny Yong Bosch, Liam O' Brien, and Yuri Lowenthal are some of my favorite voice actors. So no, there isn't anything wrong with the English dub. :P

Also, and this is important - JPN is the proper abbreviation of Japan/Japanese. "♥♥♥" is actually a racial slur and is highly inappropriate. But now you know and you're good!

English is fine for this. If you speak English as your primary language....go with that option.

The English dub is actually pretty good here, but I just prefer Japanese every time. Just test it out for yourself, at least now you can easily switch between them unlike needing separate DVDs for each with the original PS2 games.

It's hard to tell which dub Gaspard is more annoying in. I like Atoli's in the Japanese. Yata morein the English. Pi feels about the same in both. Still feeling out the rest.

It's the JP dub, easily. I played through all 3 volumes on the PS2 and didn't believe Gaspard could be any more annoying... until I started Last Recode on my PC using JP dub. Thank god all the rest of the VAs make up for it.

Just keep in mind if you choose japanese, that the you are going off the dubtrack, so things like 揺光 > Alkaid. Might throw you off, if little differences don't bother you then go for it. English is probably is a better choice if it's your primary language, the dub is really not that bad at all. Edit: Also in addition the only other major difference is just the heavy use of honorifics like お前.

Japanese Bo makes me wanna cry from his adorableness in each scene he's in (so far halfway through Vol. 1), a lot of them have a lot of passion in their voice acting (as you always expect from Japanese VA) and it just overall feels more natural that way for me, so it's always an easy choice. Reading the subtitles is mandatory in that case but whatever, it's worth it.

Yeah sure, Gaspard is a pain in the ass, but he's supposed to be a comic relief character. Bordeaux and Pi are pretty great in the dub, the rest are more or less good as well. I just find more positives in the Japanese than the dub.

I thought Haseo and Ovan were really good in the dub, actually found myself liking the English Ovan better than the Japanese one, Atoli was kind of annoying in the English one for me and Gaspard... wasn't bad per se but I felt it didn't really fit his character. (He's supposed to be a young child, but just kind of came off as a cartoon character. I guess didn't help that I couldn't avoid hearing Teddie from P4 whenever he talked though.) Don't remember really strong opinions of most of the others one way or another.

Overall, the dub is actaully done pretty well. They nailed characters like Pi and Silabus.

Like some people here, I prefer Atoli's more gentle sounding Japanese actress over the English one, but I remember the Atoli in the dub delivers her lines really well in Vol2.
So, it argueably comes down to taste and convenience.

Well, you have Sasuke as the main character, and he's even an angsty brat too. And Gaara as Endrance. You also have some of your sterotypical whiny annoying high-pitch characters, some which make really annoying noises when they fight, but overall it's not too awful. Im pretty much only playing it in english so I dont have to read subtitle though.

i like how serious the voice actor when dubbed the characters in GU, i started to like english dub when i was knowing that haseo dubber was Yuri Lowelanthai. i used this english dub to train my listening also tho hahahaha
