Dec'16 update -smoothness/sliding=destroyed
what just happened? i use the yaw/elevate method with gamepads [no pitch/roll], elev is still fine but yaw is now super sensitive and jerky, and the cool sliding action that used to happen when turning is gone, it now seems really rigid, with a total loss of aerodynamic momentum.

there was good physics before, now it's gone...

First of all, physics has not changed, we just fixed it so it takes much less CPU time and drones now feel a bit faster than before. And the sliding effect you are talking about is the normal drone physics without thruster stabilization, but you can turn it off in gameplay settings menu.

On a side note - we've introduced thruster stabilization in October, have you not noticed? Lack of stabilization was the most problematic mechanic for about 80% of all players, which is why we made on by default.

yeh i noticed, but i haven't changed my settings since then so it should have still been off.

with off, air drifts are back again now, yaw maybe slightly less jerky but i still think it's too sensitive -i can do an almost instant 180 using just 50% of the sticks travel, don't need that extra turn speed during races either, this would be even more jarring for VR users so needs smoothing or better yet a sensitivity option down the track.

Okay, so you need control over sensitivity on each separate axis? We can add it to controls customization.
