Can my PC run this game?

For a list of System Requirements for The Disney Afternoon Collection, please visit the bottom of the game’s Store Page.

You can also run a third-party app such as System Requirements Lab[www.systemrequirementslab.com] for more information regarding compatibility with your hardware. Please note that System Requirements Lab is not officially supported nor endorsed by Capcom.

What kind of controllers does The Disney Afternoon Collection on PC/Steam support?

The Disney Afternoon Collection on PC/Steam natively supports the XInput (Xbox 360, Xbox One) protocol for controllers. PlayStation 4’s DualShock 4 controller may also be used with the game, however some users may need to toggle a setting within Big Picture Mode to enable its usage. To properly enable DualShock 4 support within Steam, please follow these steps:

Note: Prior to launching The Disney Afternoon Collection, please ensure that any external controller re-mapper programs/apps such as Joy2Key, X360CE, XPadder and DS4WINDOWS are disabled, as they may interfere with the game.

  1. In the Steam client, click the controller-shaped “Big Picture Mode” icon at the top-right corner of the window.
  2. Select “Settings” > “Controller Settings” in Big Picture Mode and checkmark the “PS4 Configuration Support” setting.
  3. Reconnect your PlayStation 4 DualShock 4 controller.
  4. Your controller is now ready to be used in The Disney Afternoon Collection.
  5. Optional: You can select The Disney Afternoon Collection in Big Picture mode and select “Manage Game” > “Controller Configuration” for more intricate DualShock 4 configuration.

The game is telling me to press ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘Select’ or ‘Start’. Help?

The games within The Disney Afternoon Collection refer to pressing the ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘Select’, and ‘Start’ buttons. This is in reference to the classic controller prompts from the original releases and do not correlate to the buttons on a keyboard, PlayStation 4 DualShock 4 controller or Xbox 360 / Xbox One controller. To double-check which keys/buttons are assigned for these classic controller prompts, please access the Options menu and select “Button Configuration” (or “Keyboard Configuration if using a keyboard).

The default buttons/keys for ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘Select’ and ‘Start’ are as follows:

Keyboard:
A = ‘F’ key
B = ‘D’ key
Select = ‘S’ key
Start = ‘Enter’ key

PlayStation 4 DualShock 4 Controller:
A = ‘X’ button
B = ‘Square’ button
Select = Touch pad button
Start = ‘Options’ button

Xbox One Controller:
A = ‘A’ button
B = ‘X’ button
Select = ‘’View” button
Start = ‘’Menu” button

The game is listed as having "Partial Controller Support". What does this mean?

Partial Controller Support means a game may require a keyboard and mouse from time to time, such as during installation or for limited interactions such as configuration or interacting with a launcher.

Full Controller Support means a game will work entirely with an Xbox 360 / Xbox One or similar controller from installation to play and beyond.

Where are my save files and option data located?

You can find your game save files and Options.sav file in the following folder path:

C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\DisneyAfternoon\[This folder will have a string of numbers and letters specific to your PC]

Why do the games experience slowdown at certain points?

We wanted The Disney Afternoon Collection to be a faithful representation of the classics, preserving how the games originally played which includes some original slowdowns and flickering effects. Our development partner Digital Eclipse specializes in the digital restoration of classic video games, so you can expect a similar treatment as you may have seen in Mega Man Legacy Collection.

I’m receiving a “Failed to Start Game (Missing Executable)” error when attempting to launch the game. Help?

Ensure you are using a 64-bit operating system. To confirm whether your OS is 32-bit or 64-bit, go to Control Panel > System and Security > System and confirm this under “System type”. If you have a 64-bit OS and are still receiving this error, please visit this Steam Support guide.

What games are included in The Disney Afternoon Collection?

The Disney Afternoon Collection includes:

  • Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers
  • Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers 2
  • DuckTales
  • DuckTales 2
  • Darkwing Duck
  • TaleSpin

From the Steam Store description:

All six classic games feature new and improved visuals and include filtering options that replicate a retro look and feel.

This collection also offers new ways to play with Boss Rush and Time Attack modes, each of which encourages time-based gameplay and features online leaderboards. Additionally, a new “Rewind” feature makes these challenging titles more accessible for newcomers, with the option to rewind time and enjoy a swift recovery from blunders. Best of all, the in-game Museum will provide history buffs with a wealth of extras to celebrate the era of the original releases, such as concept art, and music – all lovingly preserved.
