Report a translation problem
The problem isn't just that FF is done -- there's also a technical problem: Steam Deck uses Wine/Proton to emulate Windows, and that's imperfect. Idea Factory would have to debug Proton to see where it goes wrong, then figure out something to make it work on Proton without causing issues on the real Windows.
That's basically the job of the Wine/Proton people, to fix their stuff.

Problem seems to be that game uses Windows Media Foundation (WMF) for cutscenes. And that can't be supported easily as Microsoft has patents regarding the implementation (codec).
People are working on the media support side of Proton but there are things that aren't easy to support..
The game works fine with the default proton
But some event just show a black screen
But I just tried that version 5.9 it runs fine. only thing left is video.
