DXFAIL crash on startup

When I try to start the game it instantly gives me this error; ''Graphics.cpp (255) DXFAIL; The specified device interface or feature level is not supported on this system.'', and the game stops working. I searched a bit and found some people saying this was related to outtated DirectX, but I ran dxdiag and found that I have it up to 11. I'm running windows 8 64 bit. I feel like the game is trying to start up with a graphics configuration higher than my PC can handle, is there a way to manualy modify it in some file? The original version runs perfectly fine on my PC.

Let's see if I'm not late... I had the same problem here (I installed the game yesterday), and the original version also run ok on my PC. That's what I did to solve the problem (I have an AMD processor, it should work only for this processor):

I decided to check my drivers and opened Radeon AMD Settings, but I got an error message... So I deleted the C:\AMD folder, cleaned the system using the DDU program (http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html) in safe mode.

Later, I installed the 17.2.1 Radeon software (http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/apu?os=Windows%2010%20-%2064), and the game started =D.

The message I got was "d:\projects\fairyfencerad\prophelite\DirectXValidate.h (65) : DXFAIL :
Not enough storage space is available to complete this operation", it's a bit different from your message...
