Fairy Fencer F Advent Dark Force

Fairy Fencer F Advent Dark Force

To Malwarebytes users with performance issues
If you have Malwarebytes installed and are experiencing freezes, hangs, stutter, etc, try the following:

- Open Malwarebytes.
- Go to the "Settings" tab on the left.
- Click the "Protection" tab at the top.
- Disable the toggle labeled "Ransomware Protection".

I was having issues with the game freezing randomly for a few seconds at a time. This ended up being the solution for me. Might help others too.

Can confirm that this is indeed an issue and turning off the Ransomware Protection will solve the issue, just did it about 2 minutes ago.

Slight FYI: You can also rightclick the Malwarebytes icon and disable the ransomware protection like that instead.

Thanks Zero for posting this workaround!
really? i never thought that will work thanks for the info i will try it now
LOL yeah i disable that ransomware on malwarebytes all the stuttering is gone :happypug:
thanks bro you are my lifesaver
i really wanted to play this game but the stuttering make this game unplayable :madpug:
But now all the stuttering is gone :hdhappy::gearthumbsup:
Wait, what, really? the suttering was caused by this?

Well, a problem that involved stuttering was solved by this. This is not saying that all cases of stuttering in this game has been solved by this one workaround, if someone is stuttering without ever installed Malwarebytes before then there is obviously another issue that causes stuttering.
Which by the way if the above ever happens and you are running something other than Windows Defender as your default AV then I would reccomend either completely disabling it or messing with the settings and see if you get any improvement in the issue.

Yeah, it's just that it slipped completely out of my head, mostly because the stuttering (in my case) was happening every 30 seconds or so while walking or in battle. Good to know though!
What is with file/folder exclusion. Could that be enough? Because ransomware is not funny at all (in german "Bundestrojaner", pay money to unlock pc, another was 'pay software else every program is declared as virus'). In the past, only safe mode and manual delete was most option. Btw. have no stuttering with mbam. Only fullscreen mode crashed after 1-2 hours (graphic card <50'C), in window mode take full performance (graphic card ~65'C with 970 Strix OC). Energy mode is high performance full time. Fullscreen mode is bugged + performance limited (it crash often)

If you aren't experiencing any stuttering midgame, then I highly discourage disabling it. The only issue you could experience through malwarebytes anti ransomware is stuttering related, nothing more.

If you are really paranoid about it have another local backup set every night. However, if you are smart you can prevent 99% of computer infections by just being aware while you are browsing the web or viewing emails. Plus you can just re-enable the module after exiting the game.
and... this fixed everything for me... thanks for the info!

Considering a decent chunk of malware infections (~30% globally, iirc) happen via drive-by attacks originating from compromised ad servers -- The same ad servers that distribute ads to many major, high-profile, totally legit websites. --, the least you need to do before browsing the web, is installing an ad-blocker that takes care of blocking the 99% of potentially compromised ads out there.

Just 'being smart' won't cut it.

That's actually a good point, I didn't even take it into account since I have been using it for so long that it's just become second nature to not have to worry about ads anymore.
I can't believe I haven't found this before now. I'd been wondering why I've had as little as 6fps in dungeons, decided to test this out and I have 63 now on an AMD card. Guess everybody saying an AMD GPU is the problem has their head up their ass.

Thanks for posting this man, and sorry to necro the thread, but this was a huge help!
All good friend. If it helps you then it isn't a necro.
