Touch Support - OCULUS USERS PLEASE READ
Touch support is still not 100% but unfortunately Valve now automatically slaps the Oculus logo on any game with Room Scale selected. To be clear we have no option in the steam admin to specify if our game does or doesn't support the Rift so our gratitude for your patience as we work through the touch issues in a mad rush over here.

Manual Enable Touch mode
- If you can't move with the analog sticks when the game loads you can Manually enable Touch mode by pressing CTRL+O

Controller configuration
- Left analog control real time movement
- Right analog controls player rotation
- A/X buttons are teleport

Tracking Setup
Yore VR is a 360 degree room-scale game. For the best possible experience you are going to want 3 Oculus tracking cameras, and will likely want to mount them high, pointed downward (akin to how most Vive base-stations are mounted) to get good coverage. This being said, we have limited tracking functionality being implemented to allow you to manually rotate yourself back in-game without turning your body. This should allow you to 'reset' your camera position if you are playing on a 180 degree tracking setup. This camera rotation is mapped to the right analog stick

We will be gathering feedback as more and more Touch users play the game and slowly improving ergonomics after the new year. If you choose to buy Yore in its current state as a Touch user all we ask is for your patience, understanding, and your feedback on particular problem spots. Just please understand that these sorts of changes will be weighed in priority alongside everything else being worked on, and as we are not as a studio some iteration time will be needed.

If you have suggestions on changes to improve the Oculus experience please bring the up here or head over to our forums: http://forums.playyore.com/index.php?threads/supporting-the-oculus-touch.212/

MAKE SURE TO ENABLE THE BETA BRANCH FOR THE MOST UP TO DATE TOUCH SUPPORT

ok i plan to check out ur game but i wanted to ask this to see if it's worth it to me. i play all my games seated is ur turning smooth basic locomotion, snap, or do you offer both. "we have limited tracking functionality being implemented to allow you to manually rotate yourself back in-game without turning your body" this worries me can u explain a bit more... i look to support full locomotion base game but seeing as you guys are mostly vive guys i tend not to agree with most of the choices made by vive devs when it comes to turning but i'm looking to add your game to the groups of games i play on my youtube page

Thanks for trying to get oculus touch supported, I really want to be able to play your game without getting sick. As someone on your forum already pointed out, it is possible to at least move and grab things, though not ideally. Otherwise, no other controls seem to work. Thank you, good luck, and please keep up the good work.

Another newcomer about to join the oculus community today, I came across this game after surveying Raw Data. With the roadmap labelled, and an avid survival player, that of the ARK, Empyrion, SE, The Forest, you can see why I'm probably in alignment with your game. The unmentioned oculus support with the recent touch release is rather backpedalling at this point so hopefully there is a support guide, manual, youtubes, streams, etc for YoreVR however the extremely low coverage over Oculus on YoreVR may hurt sales. Here's why, me steam user, unable to obtain HTC Vive 'not available in your region', tries oculus, realise its selling its own product, thus have third party distributers, allowing me to obtain it another route. You make ppl wait, ppl switch lanes, thats how supply and demand have always been, thats how capitalism will work...

Some users might not have their touch/rift detected automatically with the appropriate controller schema enabled. We've put a shortcut in to manually enable this in this case by pressing CTRL+O . This is also a quick way for Vive users that have enabled touch mode to disable it without having to restart the game.

If this is the case and you need to do this, you will likely need to do this everytime you start the game for the short term until we can figure out why some users are having this issue while others(ie: us) aren't

I also forgot to add that the update was the full 3.2 gb instead of a small patch. In any case it works in the beta branch!

OCULUS ROOM SCALE - 2 Cameras do work
Hi,
I notice you mention having three tracking cameras for full room scale.

I only have two cameras and have a solution that works for me and allows full 360 movement with a larrge play area..
Basically instaead of following the oculus setup and placing both of the comeras in front of yourself place the cameras in a corner diagnal to each other and stand in the middle of them. Because of the way in which my room is setup I have the right hand camera in fromt of me on a table facing forward only slightlyangled towards the centre of the room and the left camera behind me in the corner of the room facing diagnally into the middle of the room. I very very rarely loose the position of my hands and this setup has works sucessfully for all the games that I have

Hope this helps others.

Touch support is still really broken. I can move forward (yay) but if I actually rotate my body in real life, forward on the left stick is no longer forward making the game unplayable....

Thanks for the feedback, we have a fix in the pipe for this. Right now it's on the alpha branch but should be moved to beta in a day or two and then to the main branch by wed-friday of next week

I just tried again, the beta is now back to square 1, no way to move using touch... The alpha I can't even pick anything up and there are green squares and circles on the floor and floating arms all over the place.

is there a way to raise the ground level? i cant grab the wood as it is below the RL floor?

usually in this case we need to reset the sensors.. But we are extending the reach of the hands past the actual 3d mesh so that this will be less of a problem moving forward
