Quickstart Guide

Hello and welcome to Dad Quest’s Early access! We’re very much looking forward to seeing what you think of the game and hope that you have some laughs, some fun and don’t stumble across too many bugs! Dad Quest is in Early Access and will continue to see development for at least half a year, but could well be much longer depending on the feedback we receive from the community.

Controls

WASD – Movement
Mouse – Aim throw/ Aim melee
Left Mouse button Click – Throw child
Left Mouse button hold (When holding a child) – Charge up a special ability, release to throw
Left Mouse button hold (When holding child) and right clicking – Cycle through available charged abilities
Left Mouse button hold (When not holding a child) – Recall child
Right mouse Click (When holding child) – Melee Child
Space – Jump
Tab – Open inventory

Full Screen

The game will start in windowed mode but can run in full screen mode from the options menu on the main menu.

Toys

Once you have unlocked the toy bag, you’ll be able to equip your child with various toys. These are usable items with a set number of uses, but they offer new abilities. Below are just few descriptions of the toys in the game and what they can do.

Cookie - Once the Dad’s health reaches below two hearts, the child will share their cookie with the dad to give him one heart of health

Matches – Once equipped, the child will have flame like properties and will start dealing burn damage to anyone they hit

Camera – The flash of this item will stun enemies temporarily
