My Ending With Evelyn And My Dilemma
I do have a bone to pick with my ending. So I told Emily that I may not want to settle down right after college and I told Evalyn I wanted to settle down at some point. I genuinely wasn't lying to either. I thought those two things could coexsist. I,and possibly in real life, want to maybe explore a bit but eventually settle down at some point. It kinda ticked me off she took that as lying and I couldn't say that what I just said back in some way. I really did like her in the game, and the fact that I got a bad ending because of that really made me sad, and not in the good way. If I feel it had fully been my fault, I had done something or said something out of line, I would blame myself and that would be it. It just made me really sad and I don't know why.

I believe I might of done the same but the wording of the responses made it sound like I’m saying “not really” or” not regularly”

I fel like this is the point where many of us fell off the "good ending" trail. TBH it was kinda worded in an ambiguous way, soooo...

Also did that, the wording is "Not really" with Evelyn, and "no" with Emily

In short the game fricked up.

I decided to tell Evelyn that I had "kind of" had sex when she asked, which the game replaced with "yes", and I told Emily that I had done some stuff and but not gone all the way. Little did I know that this would destroy my relationship at the end of the game because I was intentionally lying and being manipulative. Frustrating!

It's funny how the two questions people had trouble with had to do with drinking and sex.....two subjects people lie about all the time to make themselves look cool.

yeah, i think that could be really grand?
emerz35:
but idk, planning that far out can be a little silly.
You:
yeah, so much could change
emerz35:
and i really don't see myself settling down anytime soon.
emerz35:
like right now i honestly don't even see myself having kids haha.
You:
not having kids like ever?
emerz35:
i mean, i don't know. i don't think so?
emerz35:
i just want to be able to take life as it comes, i think.
You:
yeah, that's a really good philosophy to have
emerz35:
i think so! hopefully it works out.
emerz35:
how about you after college, do you want to settle down like right after?
You:
i don't think so, taking life as it comes sounds pretty good to me.
Boom life destroyed. Bad end. :iansigh:

I specifically tried to be best friends with Emily, and grew to like Evelyn. But even when I treated Emily as a best bud, apparently she managed to brainwash Evelyn to distrust absolutely EVERYTHING the main character has to say. Even if it's valid to question, if Evelyn cannot trust *anything* you say no matter what you are willing to do to prove yourself, then you gotta feel sorry for her (and the main character). Because people aren't perfect at all times.

It really leaves an unexpected knee jerk ending to a nicely crafted story. ...Well actually it *does* leave a strong lasting impression. (And reminds me of another game with all this poetry...)
I totally underestimated Emily. Man. Respect.

Ending: Doki Doki Poetry Club
Emily is away to... ruin your game...
"Another woman!? Gorgeous?! ...EvEe...? YoU'rE MiNe "

EDIT: If it's true then I'm starting to understand why Jeff broke...
I can't wait for a sequel... always emily

ive had this same ending but im happy about it lol, it made feel like an as.s
in the first game you could act like an a.ss and get treated like one but all responses are towards being nice in this one, so i felt pretty annoyed coz i felt like i was going to get the good ending

but still first game had better choices

this got me pissed at the game, yeah, which is a shame, since i loved it until the game punished me for IT being too ambigous, not my own choices

Just Emily?

Same, I really liked the game but this extra melodrama felt forced. The previous chapter is literally about Evelyn's friends believing her after being lied too, and then she ends her friendship because of a 2 year old message, lol.
HoJu Feb 19, 2018 @ 4:32am
Yeah I got the similar ending with Emily. She just sounded like a ♥♥♥♥♥ and the game doesn't give you much choice to defend yourself properly. In real life, people are never sure if they want kids or not at that age and their thoughts on it can change. The drama felt really forced and to end a relationship just over that little inconsistancy is just trivial.
If I had a friend who did that to me in irl I'm glad we're not friends lol.

Yeah, had exact the same thing, too. If i would be fully responisble for that mistake, ok, i could live with that. but I was rather frustrated cause in fact, I as a player didn't lie and this mess just happend because the PC changed "kind of" to "yes" -.- well, and that exaggerated drama from evelyn did the rest.. felt kinda forced. pssh, women *rolleyes*
