The next game along with “The Conjuring House” and “COLINA: Legacy” with very limited save game features… what is wrong; why is it so complicated to implement…?
Even games like Paratopic, which they flat out tell you has no save feature.
This one doesn't say in any aspect of its marketing that it needs to be completed in one sitting.
Seriously, it's kind of a big deal. If it's meant to be played in one sitting, that's fine, but it needs to be clearly communicated.
I'm not sure which is worse, that there is no save system, or that it's not even considered necessary to have one because the game can be finished in an hour.
My issue is they didn't state this anywhere, like many other games that have no save function, but tell you there's no save and it needs to be completed in one sitting. It's not false advertising, but more of a lie by omission.
Not to go too far off topic, but I personally don't think there is enough quality content to justify a $14.99 price point. I'm not one to usually complain about price, but a 90 minute length is being generous, it's really closer to an hour unless you're taking time to explore every corner of the mostly empty environment and just pick things up because you can. That's likely why no save system was even implemented, because there isn't much progress to even lose. An hour of gameplay should be more like $4.99.
There are plenty of other games in this genre at this price point (or lower) that offer a much more well-rounded and complete experience, including a game that is long enough to at least warrant being able to save your progress.
To your point, I agree that it should have been communicated that there is no way to save the game, even in a pop-up window at the start so that players are aware of what they have just gotten themselves into.
