transparent text boxes

Is there a way to make semi transparent text boxes so that I can have full card art slightly showing through?

You can create image panels without setting a image path and then set its color to what you like using alpha transparency. That will result in a semitransparent panel.

Then you put your text panels on a layer on top of that panel layer and you are done
