ETA on Rounded Corners?
Please add corner rounding to the latest version of this.

Switching to Legacy version isn't an option if it means losing everything and starting over.

Hi, you can set round corners to a panel in the current versions too.

First, set your panel to type "None", then click in the left bottom corner and set the material type to rounded, then change it's color and you're done

Nice. Good to know. Thank you. However, that works only in the blueprint. When leave out, everything turns to blank white paper.

You're right, seems that the None panel type is not being rendered.

Anyway, you can use a QR / Text / Icon panel as well (but don't set a QR code / Text / Icon if you want only the rounded panel).

That "worked" but now pictures don't show.

My layers if curious

Are you using a Image panel? Try using either a QR, Text or Icon panel type instead (If you want an image on top, place it in a new layer above that

Layers 1 and 2 have been tested with every mode. Layer 3 is Image.
Are you saying leave Layer 3 blank and make what I have as Layer 3 actually be Layer 4 above the blank?

Edit: That didn't work either.

Update: Stumped now - Layer 1 and Layer 2 to image (tinted blanks each) and now Layer 3 won't show images - even though that's what had been working before trying to round corners.
Went back to Layers and removed rounded from all of them and still no images.

Later I'll try a completely new document from scratch and see if the issues regenerate.

I hope you're all taking this in Pixelatto. You've got a potentially good product here and your patch notes imply this program is only in Beta. I'll continue to test features in good faith. More power to each of you.

Update: Created a new test set. Comes with three layers. Rounded didn't work on preset. None state also yielded blank white (unlike how it's shown in blueprint, not good!)
However, "Text" worked
1 = Text
2 = Text
3 = Image
=> Image visible, corners rounded, layers colored.

So another bug oddity found. I'll continue working with files and see if I can find a solution. I'll report my results.

Still no answer, but another bug found:
When opening the menu to change the material type, that menu will remain up even as screens are changed. If try to open the same menu for another frame while the otherone remains erroneously up, there's a chance the new menu won't open - editing the popup doesn't seem to effect either frame.

Any word on this?
I think it's bugged. I think starting completely over will fix the problem, but I really don't want to go through that hassle.

I'll post back with updates.

Hi, sorry for the lack of replies in the latest days, I was working non stop on a big update and didn't have time to do that.

The way the "material" feature works is to applying an aditional image below or on top (depending of the type) of the panel. If the panel is of type "None" it won't render in the final card so you should use another panel type for that (contrary of what I said in the very first reply, I was wrong on that).

If you want a panel with rounded corners, you can use the material rounded, that will render a colored panel with rounded edges BELOW the current panel default render (so if its text type and you don't write anything, you will see only the rounded panel). But if you want to round the edges of an image, then you shouldn't use material rounded because the image will render on top of the rounded panel. For that you should use image masks (the second property in the image panels).

If you are experimenting different behaviours of what I just said, the best way to fix any bug is to send a minimal project file with a description of the problem where the bug reproduces {LINK REMOVED}

Thanks for your understanding, I will reply faster the next time

I couldn't figure out what you're telling me to do. I'll try again, but if you wanted to create a tutorial. That would be nice. I'm sure others would be interested.

Tutorials will be reworked and improved to cover all the features in Card Creator

I'm not sure in which case you'd ever want to have a rounded area behind your image. Could you please alter it so that the rounding is in front of the image?

Hi, in the latest update (currently in beta) the "border" material type is rendered on top of the images now

https://steamcommunity.com/games/523600/announcements/detail/2594586946435113271

In the case of the "rounded" material doesn't make sense because that material type is opaque and it will occlude your image if rendered in front of it
