I've been using Fastcut for almost a year now and i'm still using it but... it's not worth 69,99€.
If you're looking for an video editing software where you don't have to do s**t for a decent result and not bother with all those export settings stuff then grab it when its price is reduced.
Before you buy it you should try out the free 30 days version on their Website.

I'll do a quick list of good/bad things - if you're interested in the details i'll follow up with a text below:

Bad:
- Full Price isn't worth it
- No Intro/Outro options for costum templates
- Included templates arn't for anyone who wants to upload an "unique montage"
- 2k and 4k export takes quite some time

Good (basicly the difference between this and the previous version):
- Automatic editing saves tons of time
- Placing highlights for your clips
- Create your own template and re-use it any time
- It's literally clicking one button which can give you different video results
- Post-editing has enough tools for a decent montage
- Pre-defined export settings (Mobile, Desktop (2k, 4k), Facebook/YouTube)
- Exports have pretty good picture and audio quality
- Promising and good updates past the year

10 years ago I used a pirated version of Sony Vegas and Premiere before and my videos weren't that good. Which is why Fastcut is more then enough for me. The results are okay and enough for me to proudly show it of to my buddys.

I bought it back then because it appealed to me when it said automatic editing ... but what it really meant was that you could only select your clips and use a template which sucked ass imo. Some were okay but i didn't really like the music and the results weren't always pleasing and repetitive most of the time. I thought i could choose use my own music of choice and it'd do everything for me by itself.
Granted you could use your own music but it was very tedious and any other software would do a better job.

So i dropped it off until November/December i think where they've announced an update which allows you to create your own template. Which means that you can pick any song you wish and create it into a template. That was allready more then enough for me. I've selected my latest clips, picked my own template and applied it a couple times until i had a satisfying result. Granted I had to post-edit the result at the end but i was fine with that - afterall it wouldn't feel to personal if i would not have to do that. The given tools are pretty easy to use aswell.

Now a month ago they've released another big update where you can now place your highlights on your clips.
Example: I can mark a Teamkill or a slick play and it'll always be considered to show in the video.
Automatic beat detection for creating your own templates was also added - it's cool but i didn't need it

Now why did i bother getting this Steam-Version now?
Because of their policy with the Non-Steam Version... Since i bought the original version last year, my "update-liscence" ran out and once i re-install the software i won't be getting the lastest update, since it's considered a new version...
Instead of paying for another year i'd rather buy this version and stick with it forever.

I'm happy with it and i'm recommending it anyone who isn't to serious about video editing and has the money for it when it's on sale.

After reading some of the negative comments about this product, with the $7 Halloween sale, I decided to take a chance and I'm so glad that I did. Some people were saying that the program failed to save the final product and I wanted to make sure that it worked while I could still get a refund.

Well, in about 15 minutes, maybe 20 at most, I went from installing the software to saving a 30 second video in full HD without reading a single help me file or watching a youtube video. It really is just that simple. Now, I'm really looking forward to recording my gaming sessions because with just a few clicks I can now turn a 30 minute session into a 30 second clip with almost no effort on my part. I never thought that I'd ever say this and actually mean it, but this software is something that makes you lazy and efficient at the same time.

ONLY 15 templates , no one is responding about how exactly to download the rest of the templates . Zero support !

This is totally the video editting software you want. If you're too lazy to grind on making a 360noscope420blazeit montage using an Adobe Premiere pro, or a Vegas... get this software... perfect for effortless people.

I used the original Fastcut to put some quick videos together - this version is far superior, allowing easy template creation and supplying a far wider variety of preset programmatic editing templates (100+). I'm already using this software both personally and professionally. Perfect for my needs! Very highly recommended! Worth every cent spent. It's pretty friggin' amazing software, saving me hours of work!

Amateur or Pro, the software is a great addition to your editing arsenal. Shortcut your process and take control of your media.

Weak soft with poor tools, bad UI and low Edition level. The price too high with all of them.

this program is the worst ive ever seen. it breaks all the damn time and wont complete a task. i wasted money on this and cant get it back. a freind bought it me and i payed him back. i hate the develpor of this ♥♥♥♥

The application is not compatible with ultrawide monitors, meaning that half of the controls on the import wizard are already missing. After managing to get some footage inside the project by switching back to my old monitor, it runs the video very poorly. I cannot see what I am making and would have to render the complete video first before being able to see the finished project, which kinda beats the purpose of a preview window.

The software promised a lot, but clearly doesn't hold up.
Would not recommend.

cant even cut a 4k 60 fps video and get 4k 60 fps back u will probably get 4k 24 fps back with really choppy content
it will literally just randomly cut your other clips when you add another clip in it like tf??? it does a lot of other questionable things
