I've tried playing this a few times and I can't get past year 1 without going bankrupt or having her go delinquent. I've used some guides but non of their advice works. She keeps making mistakes at work so she can't earn money, she can't run or fight in adventures, schooling is too expensive, etc.
Is the first part of the game supposed to be getting in debt and then digging yourself out? Are you supposed to use Save Scumming? How are her first years supposed to go?

I like the management style of the game, I just don't think they give you enough wiggle room to mess up.

A very simple way of maxing our her combat attack and combat skill without spending any money or going on adventures, is by lumberjacking and hunting. When she turns eleven, make her work as a lumberjack. This increases her strength which increases combat attack. It takes a long time though. Until her strength is 990. When she turns 12, she can work as a hunter, which maxes out her combat skill in a matter of months. A word of warning - hunting slowly increases her sin and quickly reduces her maternal instinct. Maternal instinct is a hidden stat. It can only be improved slowly by working as a babysitter or tutor. Don't start building it up until she is finished with hunting forever.

Once her combat skill and attack are maxed out, you can buy her a sword and some armour and send her to the western desert to the area near the demon cave, where she can keep smashing skeletons and taking their money. You can get a lot of money this way.
