Should I watch the anime first, or play this?

I read this takes place in season 1's anime, so what order should I be doing this, or does it not matter? Is this game meant to be played alongside the anime, like should I watch season 1, then play this, or would watching the anime in its entirety somehow spoil the game?

You only have to watch the first few episodes to fit in the timeline, I don't remember which episode it is again, but I think... the 4th?

I have just seen the episode where it is hinted that Kogami is gonna get hunted. Wise to play this one now? Or wait longer? More opinions?

I'd recommend the anime definitely, even if you didn't want to play the game. It's really good, the first season is wonderful and well written and amazingly designed. The second season is good too, but the movie I was a little disappointed in. But I think you can get the jist from the beginning scenes in the game. But the anime does it great justice. It's gritty and intense. I'd totally recommend watching at least a couple episodes.
