RIght had wooden tower in crypt didn't raise [POSSIBLE SPOILER]

I've been stuck in the crypt for a while trying to figure out what i'm missing. So i looked up a walkthrough. The right hand wooden tower in the crypt under the cage you raise with the octacon lever, where you have to align the round la fleur design and it flips over and a wooden tower with roman numerals is supposed to raise up. It's just sitting down in the recessed cavity is the reason I'm stuck it seems. Am I missing something I was supposed to do to get it to raise up out of it's cavity or is this a bug and I'm stuck?

EDIT : seems clicking around I can still get to the side of it to start the puzzle even though it's stuck down there. Must be some bug I guess.. I'll report back if I can solve that puzzle.


Here's a screenshot of what I'm talking about. All the walkthroughs I watched the wooden tower just rises up out of this cavity. I can't seem to figure out why it's just sitting down there.

Nope.. appears I'm stuck.. I was able to get this far but I can't see the puzzle on the side of the box because the platform here never raised out of the sarchophagus

LOL solved. I just bailed out of the game and reloaded and now the wooden cube is in the correct position.
