Globe strategy puzzle - help!
I'm having terrible trouble with the strategy game inside the globe. I finally looked at a walkthrough and wrote down the order of attack that was suggested, but is there no way to reset the puzzle so I can start over? Do I need to restart the entire chapter? The guide I looked at said to "make some wrong moves" to reset things but that doesn't seem to be helping me much.

I just can't get my head around exactly what happens and how/why the numbers change after each move either! (This is why I generally avoid strategy games - I just don't get them! :) )

This doesn't make any sense at all. It's the maze you have without walking through a maze.
I found I was unable to solve this as it didn't match any walkthrough i looked at when i got stuck.

Once you are past the first part and have made a mistake in the sequence there is no going back .But
Look at the lowest enemy tower that is lower than yours and hit it with any tower of yours that is higher. Keep doing this until you win.

If there are no towers lower than yours, pick any tower and attack it. keep doing this until it resets.
When it resets you,ll find it has changed keep repeating this until the game lets you win. It took me 50 - 60 times before it let me win.

I'll give it a couple more goes, but I don't have the patience to try that many times! I'm seriously on the verge of refunding this game - a puzzle game where you can't reset puzzles and start over is not a good game design, in my opinion.

to reset just attack higher number towers with any of yours that can move. Eventually your towers wave a white flag and voila, reset.
To progress attack the tower with the smallest number out of all the towers in range. Keep hitting whatever tower has the smallest number (Not the smallest number on the whole map...only what you can reach now with the towers you own)

It is like @SolitaryAngel said. This is not a strategy game and you should not think about how numbers change. There is a single rule to this game you can read and it is also the "clue" at the same time - just follow the rule.

It resets fine.

It doesn't fully reset it only partially resets. You can't actually start at the beginning again.
Don't panic when you mess up in the first section and it still solves itself. When resetting there is no penalty and it will eventually be solvable as it changes each time.

You are posting nonsense about changing for the second time.
@SolitaryAngel said exactly how to reset. When you see white flags - puzzle is reset to beginning of current stage. There are no changes and no differences in solution.

So if it doesn't change that means it is solvable every time and therefore this would not exist.

You'll have to re-start the chapter.

I freed the wooden part from the globe puzzle but nothing happens at the desk. After watching a walkthrough I know the disk shoold change shape. But it doesn't with me

"Spoiler Alert" When I made a mistake, I just knocked on the tower with the higher number until I got a white flag and a reset. The trick is to keep knocking out the tower with the LOWEST number that you can get to. As you do, your numbers will increase and you can get to the towers with the higher numbers until you conquer the "enemy".

You should always attack the countries with the lowest soldiers available. Don't bother trying to calculate your new soldiers, just attack the lowest number you can.

It ended up being just trial and error at the end, made no sense. The ONLY part of the game for me that has been bad, the rest awesome.

I had bother with this puzzle until I realised after hint that I MUST hit the enemy with the LEAST amount of men that they had available at every turn and lo and behold puzzle was solved easily. It took a long time for the penny to drop with me though lol .Its just ganging up on the easiest option until your army grows invincible.

This puzzle is beyond stupid. It has no mathematical relationship and is just poorly designed. The game is well made and I used no hints. I'm at the globe now and it is just ridiculous how poorly designed it is. Plus you don't even get a good clear view of the board nor can go back "stages". I've conquered Italy and I can only reset back to it. I might have to reset chapter to go really back but it is insane to do so.
I hope the rest of the game is not like this. I even bought the sequel based on the first couple of levels which I thought were interesting for a puzzle game.

Edit: solved the globe now. Just tried a few combos and it worked.

Now, I'm at the I II III IV puzzle with the sphere. That one is tougher than I thought. The tetrahedron and square one were super easy though

Doesn't require calculations. Simply see the whole map, locate the LEAST numbered enemy territory that's adjacent to yours which you can occupy. Once you do, repeat seeing the whole map for least enemy number adjacent to your territories. Continuing this will grant you a solution. If you get a White flag, means you HAD a least number and you attempted to occupy a non-least numbered-adjacent enemy territory.
