No Elixirs when replaying? :S

I don't really know how to progress any further now.. I thought I could replay levels to get more elixirs to upgrade my towers. The good old "u dont have to pay to beat our game, but we will make u grind insted" method.
- Is this a bug or intended? Cause it's pretty easy to make bad decisions with your elixirs and be stuck... :/
