How do I disable the menu music sounds?

You can eliminate sounds by opening the game and going to menu > options / sound volume and sliding the bar scale to "0."

First, I don't think Jim's advice is going to work as I believe that is the volume control for all sounds, and not just the menu.

But given that those sounds have bugged me since RDOA ... the very first game that was published back around 2000. I have created a mod that does what you want.

We need to make it so that players can simply remove these .wav files without the game crashing. Or at least come up with a less annoying sound.

My mod is pretty easy - just 2Kb; just replace the files. No one needs to modify any code as that is a bottleneck resource.
