Why is the animation so woefully slow?

All of the animation, especially the battles are really really slow? Any reason or fix?

That's normal unfortunately, There is a Frame-Skip option on the game's speed setting if you want things to go a bit faster. (Provided you can get past the choppy animations)

Blame Adobe for forcing high quality for the graphics - I'd love to have medium quality as the default if that becomes possible. But until then your options are: play on a lower resolution or use the frameskip option.

Um where is the frameskip option? There's nothing in the options screen in game, only change resolution, volume and fullscreen.
