I'm not sure if 'Kupo Games' would be ok with this but thought I would post it here.

Since I don't have Flash installed (like most sane people) due to security issues, I managed to convert both Epic Battle Fantasy 1 and Epic Battle Fantasy 2 into EXE files (what you would call an SWF 'Projector) and can confirm they work WITHOUT Flash needing to be system-installed.

If anyone wants more info on how to do it yourself, feel free to join my Discord (info in my Steam Profile) and PM me to let me know you came from this thread. Use the passphrase: LanceDance

Thanks and take care!
If this breaks some kind of rules then just delete the thread instead of banning me from posting. I won't be hurt by it. I was moving during the Steam Summer sale and JUST missed the $2.99 discount on EBF4 otherwise I'd have bought it immediately.

Well... Both EBF1 and 2 are free on the internet, and the only thing he does lose is potential ad revenue from the webhosts. I dont know about him, but i would find that annoying, and if i wanted them converted i'd do it without others doing it for me without asking. Thats basically stealing a game from someone.

But considering you say you will remove this thread i would recommend telling Matt that you managed to convert those games and maybe he will post them somewhere as an alternative to flash.

I figured I would ask before posting anything. I wasn't sure of the decorum for this. As I said I only converted the files because I don't have shockwave flash installed at all due to security concerns. I removed it many years ago when the major web browsers deprecated Flash and nearly everyone moved to HTML5.

If KupoGames wanted to convert their Flash Games to HTML5 then I'd gladly play them on the websites so they get the ad revenue. But I don't want to be forced to install Flash just to play some older nostalgic games.

If money is the concern, I'll gladly pay for them if they are for sale but they aren't. That isn't my fault! I'll have to wait for the next Steam sale time before grabbing EBF4 (Epic Battle Fantasy 4) since I enjoyed EBF3 quite a bit.

Saying 'if you don't have Flash installed then you can never play these games' is not something that is fair or reasonable if a simple Flash Projector conversion is easily and freely available.

So far I have personally converted things exclusively for my own purpose and for my friends who also uninstalled flash many years ago during the internet's move to HTML5.

So I'd love to hear from others or even preferably from Matt R. himself regarding this issue. If he doesn't want this to be a thread then he's welcome to delete the thread or I'll delete it myself. That's no problem for me to do.

Matt said he is looking into trying to release EBF 1-2 and Bullet Heaven 1 on Steam for free.
