Job applicants - Any tips?
Retail workers in real life are normally about 16 - 30 years old, and there are always dozens of applicants for every open position. In the game, you get three slow, old men in their 70s and you have to pick two of them to open a store.

Are there any tips and tricks for attracting better applicants or is this just the way the game is meant to be played?

Too late for that. I put about 60 hours in, hoping to get to the fun part. (Learning a new game can be frustrating for a while until it gets more fun.) Unfortunately never really got to the fun part. I guess some people really enjoy this game but I'm giving up.

I hope the developer tries again to make a better game. I mean, it looks like the dev knows how to create the mechanics of a game. Maybe the dev will learn from this and come out with a better one next time.

well the more roads you have open and connected to your road network you have more options

for myself my method:

Cashiers i tend to aim for all green if possable but if not ill aim for some middle ground of what i feel is the best

Stock ,clerks Builders and Janitors i will aim for speed in the green but with lower social and whatnot

Waiters ill aim for speed and at least yellow for the other 2 ( i dont know if the other things do anything for a waiter

Security gaurds ill aim for green speed. could not care about the others since i dont think the other stats any effect

Cooks ive aimed for lower stats , even all 3 red or 2 yellow/1 red

once you have some staff and they get better as the jobs it seems to help but its a bit of a balancing act with having enoguht staff/ checkout lanes for the stores and getting the right staff

hope that helps

Also, you can remove an applicant every now and then and prevent them from applying again, so if you've got one really bad, remove them and hope you get a better one.

I imagine with enough time and patience you could remove a lot of the sucky employees and have some decent ones waiting for you to pick from when you need them, but it would really take some patience since you can't just remove all of them at once, but only one every xx time (minutes etc) and then seemingly totally random what you may get in it's place.

its once a 'day' ( in game day)

its a bit dumb i think the way you only have 3 people x amount of roads open and connected and they dont cycle a lot and evne more so when you fire someone thye showup IN THE 'FRONT' of the applecant
