Range of ANti Theft Detectors?

So, I wonder about the range of the Anti Theft-Detecor.

Is it >= 2 ... i.e. one Detector on one side of a double doores is enough to detect any thieves trying to leave the store?
Or is it lowerr, i.e. I need 1 Anti Theft Detector next to each side of the double doores in oprder to detect all thefts?

The range is 1 cell, so for double doors you do need 1 on each side to catch everyone.

I make my mall corridors 3 wide and put a detector in the middle path. Saves lots of money by not having to install them at every door. I space them out in the middle corridor to give 100% coverage of the entire walking path of the customers.

At this point in the EA cycle, its possible that the detectors are not linked to a particular store, so when a package that has not been cashier scanned, it sets off the sensors.

Now, if the devs decide to make these anti-theft tags linked to a the store product was stocked at,then the above will not work, unless some kind of research allows stores to use 1 giant database that ties them all into a single system..

My solution is only having detectors on the entrance door of the whole mall. Seems to work.

Yep, I tried placing 1 beside my mall entrance and put a patrol near it and I caught tons of thieves today. Thanks!
