Update 1.05 now out...?

It appears that a new updated patch, 1.05 has been released. I want to thank the developers for continuing to plug away at this game and make it more stable/bug-free! Your efforts are appreciated by those who have purchased the game but are unable to progess due to game-killing bugs. It seems that my wife still gets stuck in the game, entering a location from which she cannot progress or even back out of for some reason. Please continue to try to remedy these situations from the game, she has really enjoyed the parts of the game she's been able to play but is obviously frustrated that she can't continue enjoying it from the point she's at.

Yes, we are at 1.05 :-)
Didnt test it yet, but your wife seems to have severe freezing problems from the beginning!
I noticed many bugs, but I walked through the forest (and through the whole game) for hours and never had the experience you describe,
Is there any chance it has to do with the graphics card or drivers?
The only time I got real stuck (crash so to say) was with the compilation of the movie, but that is solved now.
I doubt 1.05 solves your problem, our complaints about bugs were not about freezing of the game, but inventory items for instance.
Did you try this game on another PC than the one your wife uses?

Well to be clear the game isn't completely 'freezing' per se, she simply gets to a point where the arrows won't let her go in any direction or even back the way she came. She can still hit the ESC key to get to the menu and exit the game or reload a save game or whatever, so the game itself is still running/working but the code is preventing her from progressing at this point.

OK, so no real freezing, but she sees the arrows, and the arrows don't react, right?
I intend to do another run with version 1.05, so can you describe the situation when that happens? In which stage of the game?
I will try to recreate the situation.
Furthermore, are there more than one of this kind of situations?
Another question is, is'nt she able to load a previous saved game and choose another way to progress?
It's a very nice game and she should be able to finish it.

I'm not really sure how to describe the "situation". She's moving around, she's already gotten a little ways into the game, it's as she's leaving a place called Barrow Quoit via a path in the woods. She gets to a screen where there's music from a harmonica or accordian-sounding instrument. At that point the cursor turns into a small square and she can't do anything else but exit to the game menu.

The music she hears is the cell phone ringing. She needs to click on it in the inventory to answer it. Hopefully this will finally get her on her way :)

Yes, Sudz, that must be it, I cant recreate a situation that Im stuck at a loation in the woods.
The instrument you hear must be the phone.
Right click on the phone in inventory!

You guys were absolutely correct - much thanks! She'd have never thought of that, the phone has rung before in the game but didn't sound like that so it never occurred to her that that's what it might have been. Unreal!

She is too, she loved the original and was really enjoying this one until she got hung up in that one area. She's back at it now!

I started playing before this patch and tonight I encountered the issue with the freezing during the video puzzle, do I need to restart the game to be able to move beyond that point?

I would highly recommend restarting. I've noticed a lot of people have run into problems when using saves from previous versions. There is a way around that particular bug though if you don't want to start over. Once you get the correct video order and the hidden video is revealed DON'T click on play! Instead exit from the laptop and you can then continue on.
