NEW UPDATE rev 14639 - Major changes to driving physics and Force Feedback
Hello, Drift21 community!

It has been a while since our last update but there's a good reason for this! We have spent some time in going through all your comments and gathering your feedback and we have worked hard to address your requests and come up with new physics and adjusted wheels compatibility. Today we are ready to put this new version in your hand and to make you feel the improvements we have added a Quick Race mode. See you on track!

When preparing the changes in the performance of the Force Feedback in the DRIFT21, we did our best to make sure that the steering wheel transmits as much information as possible about car behavior. We tested the new parameters on the most popular steering wheel models from Logitech, Thrustmaster, and Fanatec. The changes we've developed are best felt in the default steering wheel driver settings, so we strongly recommend that you enter the steering wheel management applications provided by the hardware manufacturer and press the reset button to the default settings before starting the game.

There is an additional DRI setting in the Fanatec steering wheel, which is a special mode for drifting. In DRIFT21 we suggest checking the settings from -2 to -4. If you would like to know more about this setting, please visit the manufacturer's website: {LINK REMOVED}.

nice changes! i tested and is more driftable and realistic now, but i have one thing, the car no have front grip. all time understeer, when u want change weight, the car understeer and u cant change weight, or u go very slow... or nothing.
Btw thats a great update and this go on good way ;)

i hope more rims, and physics of tyres.

PD: i use G29 with shifter

Way better than before! The only gripe im currently having is that the change between drifting and gripping is not linear enough, and my car keeps snap oversteering

It's a whole lot better, it feels more realistic and enjoyable all drifting. Keep up the great work 👌

I have a Driving Force GT and I have no force feedback. Any Suggestions? This is frustrating

Excellent update, super glad I was able to test out the new physics. I am more than happy to help test out any future updates as well, I now have a section too hookup wheel as well so I can test that as well!.

Good jobs Devs!

New update remove my force feedback on my T500RS. Absolutely no forces coming through the wheel. Wheel is being detected although there is no ffb.

Updates going worse!! now there are less options about customize your hardware (gaming wheel, gamepad...), I noticed lose process getting a silver trophy in a event that I have gold. And the worst parth is the handling: My HORI RWA continues being poop to handle the car on track, with lot of death zones and turn sensitivity at maximum (making the handling fast, crazy and unsmokable)... BUT! the thing that truly make me angry is the "turn assist" FORZED ON. Why??? why the car oversteer automatic??? Do you think the problem is in me and that's why you force turn assist on?? no dudes, NO!! the problem is yours, the physics continues the same, the game continues unplayable with my gaming wheel and the automatic turn assist should be get OFF and disappear as an option in the settings. Players that play this game is not noob making Drifting, so the turn assist should be DESTROYED and DELETED forever and ever.

Reset the settings and see if that helps.

WAY better, actually playable now! I would still like a little more front grip, still a bit to much under steer, especially on initiation. And it also feels like no matter what I am doing, the farther I turn the wheel the stiffer the FF is...feels very unnatural. I am also having a bug where I cant get my S15 to go into stage 2 because the performance handbrake caliper wont register, i have tried every combo of caliper and disks and the box wont check.

Other things I am still hoping for aside from more parts/cars/tracks:
Ability to tune suspension alignment and shock/spring/ride height
VR support
Option to leave interior OEM looking
day/night cycle
being able to actually use the dyno in the garage, not having a different screen for it.
a little more description about the different tires
I'm sure there are a couple more...but really over all great improvement! keep up the good work.

@up_drift we managed to pinpoint the cause of the problem with handbrake calipers and incorrect stage registration in dyno. The fix for this should be included in the next patch. We apologize for any inconvenience.

The game is a lot better now. It definitely handles alot better. Awesome update.
I feel like the front tires do kinda have a bit of understeer though.

I would like to see some like Abflug, Veilside, R magic, RE Amemiya type bodykits. some like 90s JDM type kits.

also the ability to revert the interior to OEM
tune the tire pressure
tune the downforce of the wings
suspension tuning
ECU Tuning

Stuff like that. Maybe multiplayer
