My experience so far
First off, I love the foundation of this game! I can not wait to see where it goes. I'd like to speak on 3 aspects of the game from my initial experience.

1. Garage
What appealed to me the most pre-release was the ability to modify the car in 3D. This is something I've been wanting in a car game for a very long time, and the developers/designers killed it! The amount of detail that when into the modifications is amazing. I've never seen anything like it. Most car games have quick upgrade menus, that don't feel like any effort. I've owned many tuners cars and every person that tunes their cars knows how much work it is. I love this feeling of putting in "real" work.

The only problem/confusion I've come across was the turbo piping. The games "missing part" insisted I put a filter on the intake manifold instead of piping to the intercooler, when I already had a turbo installed. I had to go into the store and buy the manifold piping manually, which could be confusing to a non savy player.

I installed a BOV but there's no BOV sound while driving ):

Not sure if there's road map plans for required balancing of your tires but that would be a nice step to installing tires on wheels before putting on the car.

Wish you could move the engine stand around. Ideally to be closer to the work benches, as I was just dropping parts on the ground.

I pray there's going to be mod support for this game!!!!

Basketball, but no hoop? :p

2. Menus
The sound of hovering on empty item cells in the parts menu is really annoying.

Would be awesome to have tooltips for some of the other setting options in the racewheel/peddle configuration.

3. Driving/Settings and Courses
Driving is rough at best. I have the Logitech G29 and I was adjusting the settings more than I was playing the game, but I managed to get it to an playable place. There's no reason to have by default "automatic clutch while using the handbrake". Why is this default active let alone an option?!

The lack of counters-steering feedback is non-existent, once you start sliding one way it's near impossible to link drifts unless you slow your momentum with engine breaking. Ideally you should be able to counter-steer into upcoming turns while applying medium-to-heavy gas to "push" the car in the direction your tires are pointing, this is drifting 101.

The hand braking is good for now, it slides the rear-end out well. The foot braking is awful, it slows the car as it should but there's no inertia change regardless if you're drifting or turning.

I know it's early access but there needs to be a larger map. I feel the current ones are expert skills. Something open world feel to allow players to get the hang of driving in this game.

There's definitely potential for this to be a kick ass drifting game, and in the current state will be giving it a positive review. Keep dialling in on the driveability first and foremost, it's the core of any car game.
