Looking for tips (Old school MX Unleashed and MX Vs. ATV Unleashed player)
Hello, I was wondering if someone could give out some tips or guide on how to properly race in this game.

I come from MX Unleashed and MX Vs. ATV Unleashed, played a little bit of Reflex and Supercross Encore but really couldn't get into them because of the dual stick functionalities on those games, yet with the announcement of the new MX Vs. ATV Legends I decided to really play through All Out and I found myself struggling a lot on Supercross/National events, even on Medium difficulty I can't grasp the turning and jumping and my momentum keeps being stopped.

Now, I'm not the best player but I did have no problem playing MX Unleashed and MX Vs. ATV Unleashed, got through them at the hardest difficulty, the flow was always there, the momentum was always there, even before learning some tracks I could find balance and fix the flow had I messed some jumps, in general I am good at racing games, yet in this game, it's a constant struggle, I can't even get the turning right, the speed is lacking, the bike feels heavy at times and can't seem to even get to the top 5 racers, so I wonder what is going on, am I playing this game wrong, is it the bike, the tuning?

Here's a few for ya!
- Lean forward with the right stick as much as possible through corners (usually 2 or 10 on a clock) and steer with the left. When it gets more beat up, try to barely touch the right stick though, maybe tap it at the entrance of a corner
- Lean back through straights with right stick to accelerate faster
- Scrub if you think you're going to over jump
- If you're going to under jump, you can do a weird fish tail where you whip one side than back to the other to increase your distance. Oppo whips can do a similar task. Barrel rolling is another way to do this but with chassis to the left its harder
- Lowering your FOV as much as possible with the third person camera can make it so the game looks like its going slow so you can react faster. This one is all placebo though
- Try to land with a wheelie with your butt hanging off one side of the seat and you can sometimes get shot forward when you hit the right angle (usually about 5 or 7 on a clock with the right stick)

Here's what my tune roughly looks like though most of the time suspension is much higher https://i.imgur.com/TqzGAFa.jpg:
a) Engine: Farther left allows the bike to be smoother across ruts, but slightly lowers acceleration
b) Brakes: Farther left allows the bike to slip less, but less braking power
c) Suspension: Farther left allows less clearance on jumps if you're overjumping, but increases chance of falling when landing a jump
d) Sprocket: Most tracks allow sprocket all the way to the left, making the fastest acceleration. Should you hit red line, like on Florida then raising sprocket may help

Also, lock your fps to 60 or lower. Physics of whips and steering angle decreases the higher you go and the bumps become more severe. Bon appetit!

Kinda unrelated, but how is this game compared to MX unleash and MX vs ATV unleashed? I know there's over a decade between them, but those were the only moto games I've played and i really enjoyed the free roam aspect of MX unleashed, is this game close to that in anyway?
