- Lean forward with the right stick as much as possible through corners (usually 2 or 10 on a clock) and steer with the left. When it gets more beat up, try to barely touch the right stick though, maybe tap it at the entrance of a corner
- Lean back through straights with right stick to accelerate faster
- Scrub if you think you're going to over jump
- If you're going to under jump, you can do a weird fish tail where you whip one side than back to the other to increase your distance. Oppo whips can do a similar task. Barrel rolling is another way to do this but with chassis to the left its harder
- Lowering your FOV as much as possible with the third person camera can make it so the game looks like its going slow so you can react faster. This one is all placebo though
- Try to land with a wheelie with your butt hanging off one side of the seat and you can sometimes get shot forward when you hit the right angle (usually about 5 or 7 on a clock with the right stick)
Here's what my tune roughly looks like though most of the time suspension is much higher https://i.imgur.com/TqzGAFa.jpg:
a) Engine: Farther left allows the bike to be smoother across ruts, but slightly lowers acceleration
b) Brakes: Farther left allows the bike to slip less, but less braking power
c) Suspension: Farther left allows less clearance on jumps if you're overjumping, but increases chance of falling when landing a jump
d) Sprocket: Most tracks allow sprocket all the way to the left, making the fastest acceleration. Should you hit red line, like on Florida then raising sprocket may help
Also, lock your fps to 60 or lower. Physics of whips and steering angle decreases the higher you go and the bumps become more severe. Bon appetit!
