Motocross Madness?

Does rainbow own the IP? If yes, why haven't we gotten a successor yet?

And no not the goofy kind from 2013

Pretty sure Microsoft is the owner of the rights. As there was a whole family of Madness games: Midtown Madness, Monster Truck Madness, and Motocross Madness.

It's just the brand name. The MX vs ATV game franchise is the spiritual successor of Motocross Madness ;)
Though the vast majority of developers aren't the same as of 1998, it still carries its DNA.
