Soundtrack Options?
There are a few certain songs that I really despise on the soundtrack, so I would really love to see some options to control that.

At the very least it would be nice to be able to skip the currently playing song. Most games handle that on the D-pad, though I know that is mostly in use already.

More than that would be nice to be able to select which songs to play and which to avoid (I've seen similar options in some games by EA as well as the FlatOut games).

And of course it would be nice to be able to add our own songs into a folder to be used as well, but that's more of a wishlist item.

The Steam interface itself supports making custom music playlists. These of course will have to be made with from your own music and won't use the music from the game. Disabling the ingame music and using the built in Steam music player will probably give the best possible music experience as it is only limited by the music that you have.

The Steam music player can be found by pressing Shift + Tab. Then click the text "MUSIC" located in the bottom middle of the screen.

Here is the Steam support page about the music player.

This :)

I always loved the mx vs atv soundtrack.

This time, there are a few tracks which i cannot enjoy (dubstep mostly but also Asking Alexandrias Into the fire, i simply cannot hear it anymore). I like the newer electronical section ala Vulture vs Lion tho.

So a song selection for the playlist and be able to play custom songs ingame would be great.

Hold up on the D-pad (or up arrow key) to bring up the music player. Once the music player comes up you can tap D-pad up / up arrow key to skip the current song. With the music player up you can switch between song playlists. I think right now there are only even based playlists.

That was the first thing i discovered ;) Unfortunately, i feel forced using it regularly.

Jason Charles Miller - Reckless is one of my outstanding favs, 3volution are also very reliable.
But not so many of the other songs are able to push me like e.g. the reflex soundtrack did.

Thanks, I'll have to try that out! I had tried all D-pad directions and didn't discover this, since I assumed it would just be a tap to skip like other games.

Is there any other way to modify the playlists other than this in-game player?

None that I know of.
