Am i the only one to see this?
by the boats in lighthouse, look at the big boat like by going to the beach and looking at it. look to the left at the path on the hill. don't move the camera, just with your eyes. Am i going crazy, or is there a person walking there

LOL, Yep, the the original, there was only one ghost I recall seeing. Landmark added at least 2 more sightings for me.

There was apparently a MVA on the M5 about 20 years ago in thick fog. I wonder if that real event is linked now.

(Sorry forgot about people on the other side of the pond where cars don't kill quite as many people and this MVA is not in common parlance, my bad.)
Yeah I dropped this idea in, because it is worth seeing if it's possible to draw a connection with a nasty heavy fog day with loads of motorway carnage, and some of the game imagery which features wrecks all over.

The ghosts are randomized, save for one super obvious one close to the end of the game. Some of them are in spots that you could easily miss even if you were looking in that area.

I was certain I saw ghosts but wrote it off to my imagination playing tricks. Thanks for telling me now here that I was not just seeing things.

The ghosts were harder to spot in the original, I think there were only 2 places where I spotted them after a few playthroughs. Landmark adds a colorization mood around the clearest one where you get quite close to the ghost. I still never really understood what the ghosts are of.

Came here for this. Gave me the creeps when I saw it. Also, it dissapears when you look straight at it, it's visible only at the edges.

I saw two human figures, both out at the beach toward the end of the game. One was visible if I looked at one of the candles sitting on wet sand at the correct angle, extending like a reflection below the candle. The other was visible for quite some time, almost until I got to the spot looked like a dude roasting marshmallows atop a hill to the right of the path to the antenna. I actually thought the second one was going to be an NPC to interact with. But they vanished as I got closer.

There are a few ghosts that can randomly appear throughout the game. There can be two in the first building at the beginning of the game. One can cross the windows as you're walking up to the building, and another one quickly looks down at you from the top of the spiral staircase when you're inside the building.

the ghost appearances are not random, they only appear once when you trigger them, and from my play they are always in the direction you are facing, so no need to pan about continuously, the game is very much centred around telling a story to players who pay attention to what the camera lens is showing you at the time.
