The game is set to walk at the same speed throughout the game. You can't increase the speed at all. The game is about exploration and setting and just enjoying the atmosphere presented. The audio and story is well done to keep you entertained.

Use Cheat Engine and set Speedhack to 2x.

You can't move any faster than a snail in molasses because the developer wants you to spend hundreds of thousands of hours stopping at every flower and every rock, contemplating them, comparing them to your navel, then moving on to the next one ad infinitum. Oh, and they hate the players.

It's ironic too because the developer track says multiple times that they want the player to play how they want. But apparently that doesn't include being able to move faster than the slowest of slow stumbling zombie in a 1960s horror flick.

So yeah, this game sucks.
