Does the director's commentary option turn off "voice over points"?
I finished the game but didn't get a single narrator's speech and therefore understood merely a few small things about the story (only because of the spoilers by devs, haha:).

No. They should be both available simultaneously.

Thanks for your answer.
I tried to reinstall the game, but it didn't work. I am still able to play non-commented version, so it's fine I guess.
Anyway, that was an interesting experience :)

I could only listen to the commentary, too. Better play the non-commented version first :)

Indeed. When you climb that cliff with some red blinking light on the top, thinking you'll finally get some answers and then Den is like: You probably, as a player, understand that the narrator is going to die at the end and that this is it.

Turning on the "Director's Commentary" does turn off the normal "Voice-over" points that normally happen. That's why it's a good idea to do a 'normal' playthrough of the game first, then do a playthrough with the Director's Commentary. When you go to the menu where you select what chapter you want to do, there should be a box that you can check (or un-check) to select if you want the Director's Commentary.
