my first gg was strive and I was disappointed with game, will be the same with gg rev 2 ?

Xrd rev 2 is hella fun but MUCH harder than Strive, the community is small for this game so be sure to join rooms instead of trying to find casual or ranked games. I might be reaching too much with this, but once you play Xrd Rev 2 and if you like it, be sure to give Strive one final chance, specially with Season 3 coming up.

Either way, I bought this game yesterday and I had a blast so far. Bons jogos amigo!

Strive is a neutered version of Rev 2. That said, it's also a lot more new player-friendly, and this one's mostly populated by at least somewhat experienced players, so...

That depends of what you want from the game. Strive is a heavily neutered version of Guilty Gear. Xrd and Accent Core have bigger move lists and more freedom when it comes to combos.

If you didn't like Strive, odds are that you won't like the Xrd series, but there's no telling until you try.

What was it about strive that you didn't like?

Xrd Rev 2 is really more difficult and fun than Strive, i really like Strive, but trying out lately made me realized Xrd Rev 2 is more interesting and great in reward for getting better at the game, it feels so good doing combos or including stealing the soul of your oponent at the point you don even care if you won or loose the match, only care that you did the thing. I recomend it, is certain way, is better than Strive, but is pretty rough at first.

it seems very restrictive even air dash take second to make it happen

you can do air dash instantly by inputting 9>6 and the opposite for air backdash 7>4

if you mean the speed of the airdash then here in xrd its like in blazblue compared to the slower airdashes in strive

Xrd is extremely different from Strive.

What was disappointing in Strive for you? I'm still very hesitant of buying it, the full pack at that.

For me until now, I was disappointed by the lowered skill-cap compared to Rev & Accent. Also, the retarded pro-degeneracy american-style coming-out of Bridget into a damn Japanese fighting game.

It's very dumbed down. Less options per character in favor of more universal mechanics, and you pretty much have to play every champion in one specific way or lose. What's worse is that the game keeps getting watered down: they've recently added fullscreen bursts, just in case the old version was too hard to land... Plus, it helped save time and effort on re-balancing all of the ridiculous zoners added during the first two DLC seasons.
