Rev doesn't respect your inputs....
Half drunk when writing this but
when I play rev it feels like im fighting against the game with my inputs compared strive.
'idk how to explain it but when I block in skull girls and marvel and strive i know I;m blocking but when i block in rev it feels like rng

i dont want to flame just want a good natured discussion if possible

Rev respects way better your input than strive. Strive is so simplified that it is quite easy to do anything really.

Try Sf4 and you will understand what I mean. Sf4 asks you to have a very good execution, more than Xrd.

Rollback netcode has some issues tho... sometimes the game gets weird, might be a sync issue. In beta it didnt happened to me.

I don't want to sound inflamatory but this is what I feel after the beta and the roll back going live compared to other roll back games I've played

Experiment and try it when you're not half drunk and see if you still get the same issue?

Check the replays to see what was going on and what your inputs were.

I'm drunk and stupid so mostly disregard my statements.
But I think its mostly due to Rev's input buffer that's messing me up.

I'll stick with it and see if I can get used to it.

Sorry if I came off deranged and inflammatory and dumb. -_-

This is good advice for life actually

This is actually a really valid thing you are experiencing, as have plenty others who made the switch between games. It's the whole "feels surprisingly the same but uncannily different" feel that you get in countless situations across the board. I think one situation I firmly remember (I started with Xrd) in ACPR was doing air combos since the buffer timings are tiny comparatively so they all felt really wack with the buffer. All three games respect your inputs a lot but it mostly comes down to very minor timing switchups you are familiar with that now mess you up constantly in minor ways. Strive in particular is not just lenient with the buffers but also the actual timing frames often being smaller to hit which adds to this feeling. I would just advice to keep at it and adjust to the rhythm.

On top of the buffer and timing differences, IIRC GGXrd's input parser operates at 60Hz while GGXXAC+R's was updated to work at 120Hz, and I'd assume GGST's is 120Hz too.
