Qanba Drone Joystick Problem
I'm playing on Linux Mint MATE and I am trying to connect a Qanba Drone joystick to Steam so I can play Guilty Gear Xrd. The problem I'm having is that the controller settings can't remember to save my control scheme, and the default is completely messed up (such as X being replaced with X,A and B all being pressed. Or left bumper being held down with every controller press). The joystick works fine but it's still unusable. I know it's the steam client because my PC detects 2 controllers, one is called "steam virtual gamepad" and it only has inputs while in game. The second one works everywhere besides in game. Also steam cant detect presses from the B button and the left trigger at all. The Qanba Drone joystick has two modes. Ps3 and Ps4. I'm honestly not sure what the difference is but when I was on Windows 10 I used the Ps3 version, that version worked on steam. The Ps4 version was broken on Windows 10 with the same issues I'm having on Linux, The Ps3 mode does not work on this version of Linux and I've tried everything to get it detected. I've spent several hours trying to Google an answer or test programs that could change inputs but none of them have worked and I am apparently the only person with this issue. I attached an image of the control scheme I can't change. If I could get some support with this I'd be glad! Thank you.

There's no image, but aside from that: the game only properly supports XInput controllers, so you'll have to use a DirectInput -> XInput wrapper for whatever mode is compatible on Linux. Steam Input may or may not work, since it's supposed to solve such issues but IIRC it doesn't work well for this game.

Thanks for the info, but now I'm stuck trying to find a xniput wrapper that works on linux.

Unfortunately I can't help much with that, compatibility issues as a whole are the main thing keeping me away from Linux for gaming so I don't know much about what you need to get the game to run properly. I hope you'll find what you're looking for, or that someone will share a solution here.

alright im actually an idiot, i already had a program that worked its called " AntiMicroX "
i just had the broken steam controller configuration on while i was using it and thought it was broken. if youre having the problem i was having just hide the controller on the steam big picture controller menu so it stops trying to track inputs. btw AntiMicroX is like a linux JoytoKey so you can go into the game and check the keyboard controls then put them into the program. idk if it has any input delay will test now.
Glad you solved the issue! And yeah, that method will have at least 1 frame of extra delay compared to regular controllers, since IIRC keyboard input in this game has a built-in 1f delay.
