How to make my Xinput controller work?

Been trying Steam input on, off, and Big Picture.
Did work last week, but now it's gone!
I have no idea why, yet i can't play this game anymore.

Steam Input is the usual suspect, but if you say turning it off didn't work, then something else might be interfering with the game's controller detection.

Also, mandatory "try restarting your computer" remark since a reboot can sometimes magically solve stuff through patented black magic.

Same problem here but with both Xinput and PS4 controller.

Thank you, but sadly nothing makes it work.
What's funny is DOA5, which has worse controller support, works with Steam Input off.

Does anyone know if there's a way to rebind keys for this game? I know Xrd Sign had a way.

(By the way, this is the only game in my library giving me grief... Granblue, Xrd Sign, and even Accent Core have not had these problems).

Having the same issue myself. Was working fine til Steam updated some of their menus and now my PS4 Controller won't work anymore. When I do the equivalent of forcing steam's controller support off, the game won't start.

Fixed it by uninstalling every game controller in my device manager.
