Keyboard and Controller being put as player 1?

has anyone ever had an issue with the steam version of GG REV2 where the keyboard is always identified as player one over if a controller is set it it? If so how do i disable the keyboard?

That's just how the game is, P1 is both the keyboard and first controller. You might be able to use a controller emulator (probably through steps similar to what's in one of the pinned threads) to use the keyboard as P2, though.

what I've been doing is plugging in 2 controllers and let my friend play as P2 while I play using the keyboard as P1.

There's a workaround you can do
i used to do this my self
download this virtual joystick software and just enable one of the controllers so it works as p1
you don't even have to map inputs , just it being there is enough

you check enable on the first controller and then it works
in case gg doesn't recognize your virtual controller
use x360ce
which make the virtual controller seem like a 360 controller
and boom guilty gear and rock and stuff .....
i wish i still had people to play with offline
