Just installed fresh. Playing in admin mode, verified the files. Game automatically starts in windowed mode, and in keyboard configuration setting. I try to go to the configuration settings in the game and every time I press the S key to get to it, it pushes the cursor back off it. I have to hold down the S key just to gain access to it. Once I get to the configuration settings it locks out all user based commands; ie you can't move up or down, can't confirm and can't exit.

Any ideas WTF is goin on here? I've never had an issue remotely like this in a game.

Just hitting ALT+Enter should switch to fullscreen.

You can also change the fullscreen and resolution manually by modifying the game's configuration files in the Steam installation directory. Just right click the game in your library, head into "Properties" and go to the Local Files tab (same place you find the File Verification Tool) and hit "Browse Local Files" button. Next you want to navigate to "./REDGame/Config/" and open up REDSystemSettings.ini.

Here you want to find the lines called "ResX=" and "ResX=" and set those to your preferred resolution.
Find "Fullscreen=" and set it =True.

This sounds like joystick driver issues. Have you ever installed virtual joysticks such as Xpadder, Joy2Key, DS3Tools etc? Having one axis being continually held down is a rather common issue with these types of software.

The fact you're able to get to the setting but unable to interact with it in anyway kinda speaks against this though. Do you have a gamepad you're able to plug in and try if it works? Just to see if it's the keyboard mappings going haywire or if your game is busted.

My game pad is the reason I'm trying to get to the configuration mode in game. It's not auto detecting my game pad, so I'll have to change the mode once the game starts. And no i don't have any virtual joysticks installed. I've used this same game pad for the other 20+ games I've gotten from steam with no issue, though some I had to do the same and change after loading up. Really this is the main issue.

I've managed to fix the menu sticking problem, but now it just doesn't want to detect my controller at all. Really annoying. And I'm tryin not to max out my time on this game so if things don't work out I can get my cash back. No sense payin for a game that can't be played.

Finally tweeked it enough so it works. Unfortunately need to go to big picture mode and change to enable certain controllers (xbox/generic). Will be different depending on what controllers others might be using.
