ps4 that bad ?
is it really as bad as ppl say on ps4 for online playing ? they say its much better on pc, but i own rev 1 on ps4 and updating it to rev 2 costs only 16 bucks, getting the whole thing on pc is just way too expensive, any thoughts ? and what about the playerbase ? some pc players claim the playerbase is bigger on pc (eu) but on steamcharts i see only 340 players. i bet there are more on ps4, dont you think ?

PS4: Biggest player base.

PC: Better netcode and support for controllers.

It depends on what you choose, in my case it was PC, also in PC you don't need to pay for playing online.

And there's less input lag on PC as well, which can make online on PC play like local on PS4 (at least, from what I've read).

thanks for the answers, i wont buy it at all then, i dont agree with the fighting game community moving to pc, pc's are much more expensive than consoles, fighting games are about being accesable for everyone and not being locked behnd a huge paywall. so no more guilty gear for me unless the EU playerbase moves back to ps4.

i hope the new big fighting game will be ps4 exclusive

Well, I'll try not to stir up the PC versus console debate that's been going on for years, but here are just my two cents: while a console is less expensive, games are usually more expensive than on PC. Plus on recent consoles you have to pay in order to play online; sure you get other benefits, like special discounts and free games, but that's only as long as you pay.

So in a general way, the initial investment is heavier to get a good computer, but after that you save money on games on the long term, making it effectively the same if not better than on console.

Again, just my two cents.

This is true, unless we're talking about the EU.
I play on both and the EU has way more players on the PC.

That's the most typical console fanboy mentality I've ever read, and I really hope you'll open your eyes one day and see that it's not okay to have to pay to play games online. " I hope the new big fighting games will be ps4 exclusive" I tried to be objective when reading what you posted, but after seeing that last sentence, I can only say that you have NO idea that exclusives are the most ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ practice in gaming, and you are just an uneducated sony fanboy.
Also, you talk about accessibility, but having to spend over 400$ on a console to play a single fighting game is the exact opposite of that. If you buy a pc,even if it might cost more at first, you have no idea how much you can save in steam sales, humble bundles, etc. , while also having a games library bigger than that of all consoles combined.

yeah and get tricked by steam to buy even more crappy games. same thing as when you listen to streamers and youtubers. buying a new graphics card for your pc costs as much as my entire console. if you have a ps4 and just buy your fighting games there and focus on that genre, you will save up alot of money, dont forget the ps plus discounts (bought guilty gear rev1 for 14 bucks when it was new). and as soons as you have not only 1 game but 2-3 that you play, the 7 dollars per month for ps plus are worth it.
and fighting games are dead on pc, look at steamcharts, so you need a ps4 anyways if you want a big playerbase or play any fighting game other than street fighter and guilty gear.

"Get tricked by steam to buy even more crappy games" That right there is plain Wrong. You're making a conscious decision if you want to buy a game or not, it's not like they say "Get this game free (but we'll take money from you and give you a crappy game to come with the free game).
You also decided to play the graphics card ♥♥♥♥, when you don't get that a graphics card can be upgraded when YOU want to upgrade it, unlike a console, where you have to buy a whole new system every few years (ps3 to ps4 and that crap).
Also, having to pay monthly to ACCESS INTERNET THAT YOU ALREADY PAID FOR is never ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ worth it, you dimwit.
"Fighting games are dead on pc" say that to all the people on fighting game discord servers.
Rev 1 also costs ~14 $ when it's on sale, and how the ♥♥♥♥ are you saving money by buying a console for a SINGLE genre of games ?
One last thing: I bought my graphics card ( a gtx 1050 ti ) for 150 $ in june of last year, which is still less than your 400 $ ,closed ecosystem, hostage taking, money milking paper weights.
I'm not gonna respond to any more comments from a delusional fanboy such as yourself.
Have a nice day <3

>fighting games are dead on PC

Far from it. GG, BB and even Tekken 7 are all quite populated from what I've played. The older entries are dead, but the same thing applies to their console versions.

Oh man, if this had a point at all, I probably would get defensive about PC-gaming. However, this is just so dumb, there is no point even arguing. If you actually believe all that, please burn your pc.
NightlyNow Jan 24, 2018 @ 3:24pm
You can build a cheap ass PC that will run GG just fine without PSN subscription cost and with significantly cheaper games. In the end, PC gaming is cheaper than consoles unless you must have some crazy setup which for GG you don't need at all.

Community fragmentation is a problem though, especially for something as small as GG. Cross-platform multiplayer would be welcomed but that's probably not gonna happen anytime soon.

I have both PS4 and PC and playing GG on PC is just more comfortable. I can alt tab while waiting in the room for a match and do other stuff fo example. Loading times are better on PC (they are short on PS4 too so not a big deal) but searching for rooms takes significantly longer.

You haven't the slightest clue what you're talking about. But enjoy your inferior online play and monthly fees.

How about... Just let people do what's best for *them personally*, and not bring emotions into it. And let that be that. Why do y'all have to treat every damn thing like a zero sum game and get all divided over it?

What emotions? He is flat out wrong and using his incorrect assumptions to claim that the PC version isn't worth getting.

I don't understand people who think every argument is emotional. idgaf if he ever plays any fighting game on PC, but I'm not about to let him spout nonsense about the platform without any objections.
