Controller vs keyboard?
Which do you guys say is the best performance in this case? I ended up buying this game on ps4 as it was a bit cheaper. and its a refreashing chance of pace from what im used to. But i gotta say its really hard for me as i cant decide which is better. The D pad on the controller is more accurate in the combos but hurts my thumb after a bit. While the Analog stick is comfortable but waaaaay less accurate and moves all over the place. Im thinking playing this on the PC would be easier as its a console port and you just got to reprogram keyboard keys to the keyboard making it more accurate and fluid. Is what im thinking.

Idk tell me what you guys think?

Whatever suits you best, dude. There's not really a "true" way to play fighting games.

You can even use a steering wheel, if you're up for it!

I play on a DS4 myself and I mostly use the analog stick.

well thats the thing lol idk what suits me best xD my fingers get confused with a controller and i havent had experiance with it on keyboard. Wish there was a demo for this so i could test it out

Did you start playing recently? It'll take a while before you can be sure of what's most comfortable with you.

In any case, it's best to just play for now and with time, you'll naturally see what suits you best.

The lack of a demo is very unfortunate indeed...

That's just inexperience, after a few hours of playing the game, you won't have this problem anymore.

For your controller, pick whatever feels the most comfortable in your hands and stick to it.
Just note that most (every) offline tournaments are played on a PS4, and, if you wanna play at your locals, it's better to have a PS4 compatible device (PS4 accepts keyboards, but it's up to the game devs to implement KB support, and IDK if GG ps4 accepts keyboards).

1. Controller that you using the most already will be most comfortable to you.
2. Technical side if much more convoluted though. If you have only KB and gamepad and have no plans to go to the tourneys - pick keyboard.

what controller is technically better:
1. Hitbox. Basically fighting stick with stick exchangeg for buttons. Hard to make or get one, some tourneys ban hitboxes (because they are pussiieess).
Pros: buttons for directional input allow you to switch directions much faster and a lot of neat techniqes which make some stuff that makes pro players ♥♥♥♥ bricks.
Cons: can be used only for fighting games, hard to get one, costly.

2. FG stick.
Pros: fighting games are made for this thing. Now we have bunch of neat things like sticks with presets that allow you to configure how sensitive your stick is (if you want to do charges better you can set it to high sensitivity and low dead zone and so on, its technical stuff)
Cons: can be used only for fighting games, costly.

3. Good keyboard. The one that have no ghosting and sensitive switches that react instantly (and not when you pushed the button as deep as you can).
Pros: buttons for directional input allow you to switch directions much faster and SOME of neat techniqes (you can't tripple tap with sliding your fingers over the button because there are alot of buttons in the way).
Cons: some games have weird configs, alot of shenanigans to use outside of your house.

4. Pad. The worst one. Using your thumbs is suboptimal. There are pads that made specifically for fighting gamesbut you wount buy one for sure.
Pros: ech. "you can be really good if you try, look: Snake Eyez is very good with pad, he can do 360 in an instant, please do not look at japanese stick players that can do 720 almost as fast as him."
Cons: using your thumbs would never be as good as elbow motions or your fingertips agility.

i see. well thank you guys so much for the detailed responses :) I bought rev2 on ps4 as its currently on sale! so what ill do is, wait for rev 2 to be on sale here on steam and buy that and test it out on PC and then see which i like better. For now ill just play on ps4 as i have no interest in facing other players or playing in tournys

I think a bulk of the comments are to neutral, I feel like you need to dunk on nerds with bananas.

I dont want you to start off on weak ♥♥♥♥ like pads, keyboards or sticks. Be elite.
