FAQ regarding -REVELATOR-

Is this the latest version?
- Nope. REV2 is now the latest version of Guilty Gear Xrd. You can still purchase REVELATOR and opt for an upgrade to REV2 as paid DLC at a discounted price.

What is the difference between -SIGN- and -REVELATOR-?
- 6 additional characters (Johnny, Jam, Jack-O, Haehyun*, Raven* and Dizzy*) * = DLC
- 4 new game mechanics (Blitz charge, Burst Overdrive, Throw tech, and Side Dust overhaul)
- Slight balance changes to the returning cast (i.e Elphelt/Sin nerfs, Venom buffs)
- Significant graphical upgrade, with new lighting, effects and stages.
- A new 4-5hr cinematic story. Continuation of what happened in -SIGN-
- A bevy of new modes, and a revamped Tutorial mode
- Fishing !

Why is there no crossplay?
- PS4/PS3 version run on PSN servers for online play. PC version runs on Steam servers.

Why is there no English dub anymore?
- Akysys mentioned that it was in favor of getting the English release dates closer to the Japanese.

There is no online lobbies?
-There is! You can have 8-player lobbies at launch, these are called "Player rooms" in-game.
-"Lobby" also known as Arcade lobbies is the missing feature. If you haven't seen it before, it's a public room that can host up to 30 players at a time.
- To be added at a later date. (Keep in mind this feature has been console exclusive so far in all ArcSys releases)

How much is it gonna cost?
- Depends on your region. For now
Some localized prices for those who don't want to do conversions

Are all the characters from Sign returning as well ? And which of these are DLC ? And for how much $$$ ?

All SIGN characters are in the roster already.

Only Kum, Raven and Dizzy are DLC-based, with Raven being unlockable in-game.
More details will be out in probably tomorrow's article.

Yes. All of them are returning. Elphelt got a wardrobe change but she still plays the same.
Haehyun, Raven and Dizzy are the only DLC characters in -REVELATOR- so far.
As for $$$, you'll have to check back when the ArcSys press release page is up.

Never was a port, never had been a port. Everything had always been reworked, since SIGN.

I've read somewhere that there would be no lobby in this version. Is it true ?
And if true, is it scheduled to be released some time in the future ?

I am very happy with Revelator release on PC regardless ^^.
