Play with generic gamepad

Can I use a generic gamepad or will I have to buy a playstation?

If Steam supports it and GGXrd recognizes it, I don't see why not.

In any case, you'll probably have to mess around with the Steam controller settings for a bit.

I'm using the Saitek p220 which isn't made any more since long before Madcatz bought Saitek then went bankrupt. It still works surprisingly well...

(Alternatively, I use keyboard, but I'm trying to get better with pads so I can out-scrub my scrub-friends on the PS4. #LifeGoals)

What's the bugginess? I used a PS4 controller via Steam's official support and it's just fine.
